Sustained Cadmium exposure can be dangerous for health. So, this online training course underlines the safety regulations formulated for the construction workers in the state of California who are exposed to cadmium at workplaces, impacts to human body, types of exposure, engineering and administrative procedures, best work practices and standard safety regulations to limit exposure. The course also offers procedures to evaluate medical conditions, follow-up actions to be made in case of cadmium exposure and compliance practices.
This online safety course meets the training requirements prescribed by Cal/OSHA Title 8 CCR, Section 5207 General Industry, and Section 1532 Construction Industry Cadmium Standard.
Cadmium can cause serious ailments for workers that include damage to lungs and kidneys along with various other long term health impacts. People who are working in construction, shipyards and other general industries are likely to get Cadmium exposure. However, overexposure to cadmium can be prevented and reduce the risk of exposure by increasing the awareness among workers, making them compliant safety procedures and following proper protocol to attend those affected can make the work place more safe and secure. This course trains participants about the safety procedures as prescribed by California standards about cadmium exposure at workplaces.
Cadmium exposure training is must for those who will be or are exposed to cadmium at the action level of 2.5 micrograms per cubic meter of air calculated as an 8-hour time-weighted average. Training can be arranged either before or at the time of the initial work assignment, and on a yearly basis to update safety procedures. Supervisors or managers should keep a track of those undergone training and expiry of their certification.
Our Cal/OSHA Cadmium Safety Training course has content, graphical representations, audio clippings, self-check non-scored questions, and a final exam.
Each student will receive 0.2 CEUs (or 2 CMEs) from Compliance Training Online® for completing this course.
