This OSHA Lockout Tagout Training Course focuses on educating already employed, new recruits and prospective safety professionals about the hazards while operating heavy engineering equipments and machines. These machines can release high amount of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and other forms of energy when starting or shutting processes. Such sudden release of hazardous energy can be catastrophic and can cause death or permanent disability to workers if not handled carefully.
OSHA has developed safety regulations for lock out tag out safety processes and has prescribed training procedures to prevent accidents and injuries to workers who are liable to be affected by sudden release of harmful energy.
Our online safety course satisfies OSHA prescribed training standard 29 CFR § 1910.147 which represents regulating hazardous energy during lockout tagout procedures.
This Tagout/ Lockout training course covers prescribed legislations and regulations, hazard identification procedures, hazard control measures, safe work practices and responsibilities of employers to educate workers and install safety systems to protect them from workplace risks and dangers.
Every worker who are assigned to do service or maintenance to high power equipment which can generate excessive power while running or shutting off must take this course. Also, machine/engine operators and other workers (excluding those from construction, maritime and agriculture occupations) who frequent in such areas where lockout tagout processes are being performed should join this training to understand and follow OSHA-formulated safety standard for lock out tag out – 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7).
The OSHA regulated hazardous energy (lockout/tagout) control training course will provide participants with study materials along with graphical and audio clippings, case studies and practice questions for students to help them prepare well for the final exam.
Every passing-out candidate will be provided with a hard copy of completion certificate and also a print of wallet card.
Each learner will be entitled for 0.2 CEUs (or 2 CMEs) for successfully completing this safety training course.
