MSHA has a set of guidelines, which can be considered as “approved plan”, for mining sites wanting to have a legitimate training plan for their workers.
In this online training course, students get to know various aspects of MSHA training plan which can guide them write a comprehensive training plan specific to surface mining sites.
The standard training procedures for miners, especially those involved in shell dredging, or employed at gravel, sand, surface clay, surface stone, surface limestone, or colloidal phosphate mines, are prescribed in 30 CFR Part 46. These training standards are mandatory. The Mine and Safety Act also empowers the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to advocate on health issues for miners, hazard assessment devices and personal protective equipment (PPE). It also recommends administration of a health surveillance plan for miners.
The certification program for miners has several important sections with regard to fixing training plans for miners that must be clearly explained. Some of them are:
Instructor information
Teaching methods
Course materials
Allotted training time
Record-keeping procedures
To make sure that training program has been successfully implemented, a systematic evaluation method has to be developed.
This online course has been designed for operators, supervisors, technical in-charges, safety experts, transport service providers, and all others who have specific occupational reasons to be in and around surface mines on a daily basis, will find it useful to do this course, and on successful completion can independently create, implement and complete the training plan for miners as per MSHA principles.
Our MSHA Part 46 Training Plan contains well researched and approved course content, graphical explanations, audio presentations for better understanding, and self-test questions for better preparation for the final exam.
Upon successful conclusion of the course each learners will get a hard copy of completion certificate and can print a wallet card.
