Scissor lifts are relatively safer to operate but can be dangerous if someone operates without proper training or understanding of safety procedures involved in its usage. Not only for the workers who operate the lifts, but also those who are in the surroundings can be injured, sometime fatally, if proper safety processes are not followed including the maintenance of jack or scissor lifts and regular safety training for the operators.
This OSHA regulated Scissor Lifts Safety Course is ideal for operators, site supervisors and general workers, where the training emphasizes on risk identification, applicable regulations and safe work practices for operating all types of scissor lifts.
This online scissor lifts (mobile scaffolds) certification course has been made in line with the regulations formulated by OSHA in 29 CFR § 1926 Subpart L Scaffolds Safety Standards for Mobile Scaffolds, commonly known as Scissor Lifts which are used in various industries for different purposes.
This online training provides deep understanding on the relevant Safety Standards for mobile scaffolds or Scissor Lifts covering regulations and safety procedures prescribed by OSHA. The course will help candidates to precisely identify potential hazards and make necessary corrective measures, understand procedures to avoid risks and various control measures along with practical knowledge on safe work practices.
The training modules put forth by OSHA 29 CFR § 1926.454 regulations states that this standard protocol supplements and underscores the requirements of § 1926.21(b)(2) as it refers to the dangers and risks involved while working on scissor lifts. All workers who are assigned to operate and maintain the scissor lifts must do this course for better understanding and operational efficiency.
(a) According to the regulations, which warrant that all employers or owners of scissor lifts must make their workers trained by qualified people who can be recognized safety experts capable of training workers to manage hazards associated with different kinds of scissor lifts and can control, manage and reduce such hazards.
