Introduction

Asbestos is a highly hazardous material and is typically found in the buildings that are constructed or refurbished before 2000. This material poses a major threat to the health of workers handling it. Hence it is important to create awareness and provide the necessary training to those who come across this asbestos or asbestos-containing materials. This necessary knowledge will ensure that such employees work safely.

This course is designed to help those workers who are exposed to hazardous asbestos. This comprehensive training equips the participants with the necessary knowledge on identifying the possible presence of locations of asbestos building materials, helps in understanding the health risks pertaining to asbestos exposure, safely reporting the hazard, and avoiding risks related to asbestos.

By having proper training, the organizations can enable the workers to have a better understanding of the dangers of working with asbestos. They will recognize the importance of complying with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. When employers deliver their workers the important knowledge on safely handling this hazardous material when encountered, they can make sure that the employees stay safe around asbestos.
